The League of Cincinnati Theatres (LCT) is pleased to announce our LCT Gala Awards Ceremony, which annually honors the best of the professional Cincinnati Theatre Community.
Director Pugh keeps the focus on the unjustness of the accusations and the mounting tension within the community as they feel increasingly frustrated by a court which seems to be acting without any regard to the greater good of the community.
Cincy Shakes is known for creative reinventions of Shakespeare’s works and this is certainly a creative gamble. I am happy to say that it pays off.
Director Matthew Lewis Johnson transports Shakespeare’s story about 400 years from the 1590’s to the neon-soaked pulse of the 1980’s.
