CCM’s “Macbeth” Recognized by LCT

CCMMacbethImagePanelists for the League of Cincinnati Theatres (LCT) have recognized C.J. Mellides’ work on lighting design for the College Conservatory of Music Drama Department’s production of Shakespeare’s timeless tragedy, Macbeth.

Panelists praised Mellides’ lighting design as “spectacular…Outlines of bodies, shadows that exploded into brilliant pools of light, and cracking good lightning (and more!) all combined to give the fragmented and piercing vision of a mind in decline.”

CCM’s Macbeth runs through October 5th. Tickets can be obtained at the UC Box office, http://ccm.uc.edu/boxoffice.html.

League of Cincinnati Theatre panelists evaluate productions on a 5 star scale and recommend shows at either a 4 star or 5 star level. Nominations for LCT awards will be determined and announced at the end of the season and winners awarded at the annual LCT gala in the spring.
