Panelists for the League of Cincinnati Theatres (LCT) have recognized Covedale Center for the Performing Arts“™ “œCat on a Hot Tin Roof“ as a recommended production.
In this Tennessee Williams classic, a plantation house family celebrates the sixty-fifth birthday of its patriarch, Big Daddy. But the mood is tense, despite the festivities, as long-simmering evils poison the party. Greed, sins of the past and desperate clawing hopes for the future spar with one another as the knowledge that Big Daddy is dying slowly makes the rounds.
One panelist praised the production as “œdynamic and layered“. Another commented that “œI could feel that I was witnessing the family dynamics of a real family.“
“œCat on a Hot Tin Roof“ continues through September 30th. Tickets can be purchased at www.cincinnatilandmarkproductions.com/ccpa.
Final LCT awards will be determined at the end of the season and announced at the LCT gala in the spring.
