The Carnegie Theatre’s “Sound of Music” Earns 4 Star LCT Rating

Carnegie Sound of Music ImagePanelists for the League of Cincinnati Theatres (LCT) have recognized The Carnegie Theatre’s production of Rogers and Hammerstein’s classic musical,The Sound of Music,with a 4 Star Rating.

Panelists praised The Sound of Music as “a nostalgic production that was well-executed and beautiful…a fantastic, heart-warming production, with a seriously talented cast.”Jared Joplin, as Captain Von Trapp, was particularly singled out for his outstanding performance—“his journey in the midst of an attack on his culture was marked by careful line delivery and a bold, romantic transformation…he was charming, moving, and brought a lot of sensitivity to the character.”

League of Cincinnati Theatre panelists evaluate productions on a 5 star scale and recommend shows at either a 4 star or 5 star level. Nominations for LCT awards will be determined and announced at the end of the season and winners awarded at the annual LCT gala in the spring.
