BurgerTown delivers the perfect pairing of humor and engaging entertainment

The Story on the Grill
If you’re craving a summer night full of laughs, catchy songs and heartfelt moments, Warsaw Federal Incline’s BurgerTown delivers. Set in 1950s Chicago, this delightful musical comedy follows timid fry cook Danny O’Riley, who accidentally invents the “Triangle Burger” and transforms a struggling diner into the city’s hottest hangout. His sudden success sets off a whirlwind of romance, rivalries and unexpected twists—all served with a generous helping of humor and charm.

The Cast and Ensemble Bring the Sizzle and Talent
The main cast brings charisma and acting skills that make you feel fully immersed in their world. Josh Galloway really lights up the stage as Danny. He strikes the perfect balance between shy and charming, making the character feel real and easy to root for.
Dain Paige as Sal Spumoni scores plenty of laughs with spot-on timing and physical comedy. He switches effortlessly between a penny-pinching boss and a guy who truly cares deep down. Delaney O’Toole brings a natural ease to Jan. Her with performance is honest, grounded, and has just the right amount of sassy when the moment calls for it. The role of Patty demands an actress capable of commanding the audience’s full attention, and Chloe Hedrick is perfect for the job. As the show’s standout performer, Hedrick fills every scene with a magnetic presence. Her playful expressions and clever physicality bring the character to life in a way that truly shines.
The five ensemble members (Mabrey Rice, Marlo D’Ascenzo, Emma Hackworth, Zach Petrie, and Issiah Current) deserve major credit for keeping the energy high and the laughs coming. They bounce between characters such as mobsters, lawyers, and nosy customers without missing a beat.
Creative Set, Lively Choreography, and Confident Direction
Brett Bowling’s set design makes smart use of the cozy Incline space, creating a backdrop that’s both functional and fun to look at. Maddie Jones’ choreography adds a steady pulse, turning everyday props—chairs, tables, a bar—into part of the movement, which keeps the show brisk and engaging.
The staging feels clever without trying too hard, and every moment lands with purpose. Under Ken Jones’ confident direction, all these pieces click together. The whole production has a clear rhythm and energy that never lets up. He and the team should know the show well–as he wrote the show, along with Jamey Strawn (Music Director) and Christine Jones (Assistant Director). Michael Hatton as Production Stage Manager is another reminder of how BurgerTown has ties to NKU SOTA.
The show first hit the stage in 2004, as part of the NKU-based Commonwealth Theatre Company’s summer dinner theater series. It was a hit. It has since been produced in multiple theatres around the world.

Final Serving
From the very first scene, BurgerTown grabs your attention and doesn’t let go, with plenty of laughs and nonstop energy. The cast’s enthusiasm spreads quickly, making the whole audience feel part of the fun. Whether you’re from Cincinnati or happen to be in town, this fresh, fast-food musical is a tasty treat you won’t want to miss.
